If you’re ready to love yourself, to find inner peace and happiness with yourself and your relationships, you’ve come to the right person and place.

Rebecca is a caring and empathetic licensed, board certified professional counselor who specializes in You and your relationships. Rebecca is an expert counselor  in helping people explore, heal and grow their relationship with themselves!

So – how do you feel?

Are you confident and proud of your accomplishments? When you describe yourself, is your list full of positives or negatives? When you’re not feeling good about who you are, life becomes burdensome. The fact is, the way we view ourselves will shape and mold our relationship with others. In order to create and maintain healthy bonds with other human beings, one must be comfortable with themselves. And, personality is formed early; by the age of 6, children have formed their base identity: how they see themselves (positive or negative), how they think others view them, and what they expect from those interactions. Without a healthy self-relationship in adulthood, people often find themselves having turbulent relationships with others; falling into cycles of being or creating abuse, being abandoned, feeling anxious about trusting others, and general physical distress such as symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Rebecca believes the most important relationship we can have is with ourselves. When our relationship with ourselves is healthy and stable, it allows us to experience other relationships positively such as with our spouse or partner, work, school, family and with our peers.  Rebecca provides a safe, trusting, non-judgmental environment in which she can help clients discover and address their presenting problems that are causing distress.

Inspirational-Quotes-for-Healing-768x369 (1)     Emotions are the foundation in which think, feel and behave. They can override thoughts, transform relationships and profoundly influence behavior.  When we are not equipped to effectively handle our emotions it can cause distress leading to unhappy relationships.

Through the utilization of evidenced-based practices, Rebecca teaches her clients the skill set of emotional intelligence. Teaching you proven clinical techniques and tools to control troublesome thoughts and manage difficult emotions, you’ll  harness your knowledge as power to heal, grow and transform your relationship with yourself. In learning these skills, you’ll be able to quickly reduce distress in the moment, and remain comfortable enough with your emotions to react in constructive ways. Let’s build better relationships. With ourselves, and with each other.

Couples:

As a certified Emotional Focused Couples Therapist, Rebecca utilizes attachment based science, communication skills and interpersonal awareness of what you and your partner are experiencing emotionally. Through the use of evidence-based practices (EFT) couples will learn to identify and understand their negative cycle during conflict, learn and implement conflict resolution skills, learn to identify their own and their partner’s emotions, build and strength attachments bonds, develop trust and regain intimacy, effective communication through assertiveness training, and improvement in non-verbal communication. Ultimately, you’re working toward mutual emotional clarity – and when that communication is clear between partners, we have secure and stronger attachments to our partner. We are at peace with ourselves, and our loved one.
